Right of cancellation for consumers<\/strong>

If you are acting as a consumer, i.e. buying goods or services without being acting in the course of your trade, business or profession, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within a certain period of time without giving a specific reason. Here we explain how this works:

Your right of cancellation<\/strong>

You can cancel the concluded contract within 14 days after receipt of the goods or, in the case of services, after conclusion of the contract, without having to give reasons. If your order arrives in several instalments or pieces, the period begins on the day on which you receive the last piece or the last delivery. For digital content that is not delivered on a physical data carrier (such as downloads or streaming services), the period also starts on the day the contract is concluded.

How you can cancel<\/strong>

In order to exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us, Revonik GmbH, of your decision. You can do this in various ways, for example by letter, fax or e-mail. We also offer a sample cancellation form on our website, which you can use, but it is not mandatory. As soon as you have informed us of your decision, we will send you a confirmation. It is important that you contact us before the 14-day cancellation period expires.

What happens after the cancellation<\/strong>

After you have cancelled the contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, including the cost of standard delivery. This refund will be made as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after we have received your cancellation, using the same means of payment that you originally used. If you have expressly chosen a more expensive delivery method than the standard delivery, we will not refund the additional costs.

If you have requested that services should commence within the cancellation period, you must pay us a reasonable amount for the services already provided up to the time of cancellation.

You must return or hand over the goods to us immediately, at the latest within 14 days of your cancellation. You shall bear the costs of returning the goods. You are only responsible for a possible loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that goes beyond checking their condition, properties and functionality.

Exceptions to the right of cancellation<\/strong>

There are situations in which the right of cancellation does not apply or expires prematurely. These include
The delivery of goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons as soon as their seal has been removed.
The delivery of sound or video recordings or computer software in sealed packaging if the seal has been removed after delivery.
The delivery of goods that have been specially made for you or are clearly customised to your personal requirements.
