If key lorry control units such as the engine control unit (MCM2), the drive control unit (CPC3), the exhaust control unit (ACM) or the brake control unit (EBS) fail, you face delivery times of weeks for new parts from the manufacturer. It doesn’t have to be that way! We specialise in the rapid repair of commercial vehicle electronics. Minimise costly downtime and save up to 70 % on costs compared to buying new. Commercial vehicle control unit repair

With commercial vehicles, every hour of downtime costs money. Revonik tests the commercial vehicle control units listed in the product database on the basis of the unit label, the fault log, the vehicle configuration and a comprehensible description of the symptoms.

A complete preliminary check with the part number, fault log and vehicle data speeds up the technical classification and reduces unnecessary follow-up questions.

We only test the engine, drivetrain, exhaust, brake and other commercial vehicle control units approved for Revonik.

SPN/FMI data, the part number and the vehicle configuration are more important for a reliable preliminary check than a general description of the fault.

If the specific defect is repairable, a repair can be an economical alternative to long delivery times or expensive new parts.

The findings, the options and the expected procedure are agreed in a comprehensible way so that the workshop and fleet scheduling can decide.

Standard repairs generally take 2–4 working days. A 48-hour express service is possible for suitable standard faults, at extra cost and after confirmed capacity.

A 24-month warranty applies to the repair service carried out, in accordance with the approved terms.

This is how we repair your control unit

Step 1

Diagnosis & Removal

Have the fault memory of the lorry/commercial vehicle read out. Print out the fault report and have the faulty control unit (e.g. MCM, CPC, ACM) removed by your garage.

Step 2

Order & Shipping

Please fill in our online form. Important: Please print out the order confirmation and include it in the parcel along with the error log. Pack the device securely and send it to us. 

Step 3

Inspection & Repair

Once we have received your item, we will carry out a diagnostic check (subject to a charge). We will begin the repair once you have given your approval. To minimise downtime, choose our express repair service (48 hours) for standard faults.

Step 4

Payment & Returns

Once the repair has been successfully completed and payment received, we will return the device to you securely packaged (postage: €14.90 incl. VAT)

Step 5

Installation & continuing the journey

Simply install it in the vehicle and the engine starts again. With the original unit, vehicle-specific data is retained in many cases. Coding, basic settings or further work on the vehicle may nevertheless be required, depending on the vehicle and the repair.

Please send the manufacturer, model, year of manufacture, the control unit part number, the engine or transmission variant, SPN/FMI or manufacturer fault codes and a precise description of the fault. A photo of the unit label is particularly helpful.

Testing by post is possible if the unit is removed properly, packed securely and sent in fully documented. For large or unusual units we ask you to enquire in advance.

In J1939 systems, SPN describes the monitored parameter and FMI the type of deviation detected. The combination is a diagnostic indication and does not replace testing the wiring, sensors, power supply and control unit.

The duration depends on the type of unit, the fault pattern, spare parts and the scope of testing. Time-critical cases can be submitted for a 48-hour express service stating the part number and fault code; confirmation is only given after checking suitability and capacity.
